Summer Lovin' Had me a BLAST!

Summer has come and is just about gone - especially at our house. The girls started year round school a few weeks ago so summer fun has wound down pretty much at our house. We have lots to share though.

Mid July Mylee had a softball tournament in Irvine, Ca so we took the whole crew and headed to Disneyland. The kids had a blast! Kaia and Kylin got new princess dresses to wear at the park and had compliments from everyone. They really are the most adorable little girls ever!

We got to spend tons of time at the local beaches: our favorite was Huntington Beach! All the kids did tons of boogie boarding and Pete is certain he's a Californian now!

Kaia, uh....I mean Tinkerbell, was kidnapped by Captain Hook, who for some reason thought it was hilarious that I had to run clear down the street to get her back, nearly losing her, and totally losing my place in the longest-ever Dumbo line. Kaia happily went along with Captain Hook, laughing the whole time!

We spent two perfect days at Disneyland and California Adventure Land. It was just the right amount of time for all 7 of us to get to do and see EVERYTHING and some things twice!

Kaia and Kylin got to have lunch with all their favorite Disney Princesses. They say Belle, Ariel, Snow White, Aurora (Sleeping Beauty) and Cinderella. We got autographs from all the pretty girls but also got them from Sully, Goofy, Mickey and Minnie, Captain Hook, Tinkerbell and her fairy friends and saw tons of other characters at the parades and fireworks shows! Such a party!

When we weren't at Disneyland, the ball park, or the beach we spent as much time as we possibly could at the pool!

Shanda's beach (across the street from her house) in Carlsbad! We're moving there for sure!

Venice Beach was one of our funnest stops. Aside from the creepy clown, scantily clad men (Muscle Beach) and Kaia getting lost for a minute, there was tons of fun shopping, lots to see and do, great waves for Boogie-ing on, and we all got tatted up! Mine was the only permanent one! This is the pre-ink drawing.

I'm so impressed with all 5 kids. Everyone got along great! We were all healthy the whole time and surprisingly I didn't have to strap anybody to the luggage rack. Even the long drive to and from Cali was fun! Thanks to "Jessie's Girl" we're all Kareoke'd out but had a blast!
